We all know just how much the UK has become the home of political correctness but is it not going too far for a policeman to charge a motorist with not being in full control of his vehicle just because he blew his nose while at the wheel of his van.
Michael Mancini, from Ayrshire, was handed a £60 fixed penalty and given three points on his driving licence for the offence which took place last October, but he is refusing to pay as he denies any offence occurred as he had the handbrake on and it was out of gear. If he maintains his stance the case will go to court, an outcome he says he will welcome.
Update: It was reported this week ( w/e February 28th ) that all charges have been dropped. Common sense prevails for once.
