For most gardeners the most danger they will face while tending their gardens is possibly being stung by a nettle or ending up with an aching back or limbs after doing too much in one go. But for sixty six year old Kate Nicoll her green-fingered efforts had a more serious outcome.
Her garden backs onto a sheer cliff and she literally took a step too far and ended up caught in trees above the beach, where she was spotted by two teenagers who alerted the emergency services. She was taken to Ninewells Hospital where her condition was described as stable and that she would be fine.
