Apparently fish are scared of their own reflections, but why should that be? In a tank or a bowl fish will attack their own reflections thinking it is another fish.
But what they don't expect is what happens next. Rather than the expected response the other 'fish' fights back in exactly the same way as the attacking fish leaving it extremely confused.
Studying fish who 'fought' their reflection scientists discovered high activity in the area of their brain related to fear.
