You Can Draw And Paint

You are possibly thinking that you cannot draw or paint or that it is very difficult to do. But did you think that when you learned to drive or ride a bike, or took up a sport which you now enjoy? Whether you did or not you mastered those things because you wanted to do them and were willing to put in the time and effort to succeed. It is the same here, if you have the desire to do it and don't expect to be an expert overnight then drawing and painting is within your capabilities.
The lessons on here will, in the main, be very basic and meant as a stepping stone for you to move onto more complex things later on. The basic lessons will come from me but there will also be videos, etc. from other artists which will hopefully encourage, help and inspire you.
All you will need for the drawing lessons are; one or two pencils ( HB are ok to start with ), an eraser and a drawing pad. For the painting i will be using watercolours. A No.6 or No.8 watercolour brush is fine as well as a watercolour pad, dish to mix the paints, jar or container for water, kitchen towel and watercolour paints. For most of the exercises three colours will do; a yellow, a blue and a red .
I hope to have the first of the lessons online within the next two weeks that will allow you time to get together the items you need.
